HOSTING FOR THE HOLIDAYS? DISCOVER WHY DOG BOARDING IS STILL A SMART MOVE.

The holiday season can be a whirlwind of activity. Whether you’re traveling or staying home to host, dog boarding can be beneficial for both you and your furry friend. With locations near Grosse Pointe, West Bloomfield, Ferndale, and Detroit, Canine To Five is the perfect home away from home for your dog during the holidays – here’s why:

1. A BREAK FROM THE CHAOS

The commotion of hosting family and friends—new faces, constant activity, and food everywhere—can leave your dog feeling overstimulated or anxious. Dogs who stay overnight with us get to participate in doggy daycare during the day where we provide a structured space for your pup to safely burn off energy and interact with other dogs under our trained supervision.

2. MAINTAINING THEIR ROUTINE

Hosting can easily disrupt your dog’s normal routine. Dog boarding at Canine To Five ensures they stick to a familiar schedule with regular meals, playtimes, and rest periods, reducing stress and keeping them happy.

3. OVERNIGHT SUPERVISION & HOLIDAY UPDATES

One of our favorite perks of overnight dog boarding at Canine To Five is our overnight staff. This team of dog lovers is awake and on-site to monitor the dogs after hours while sanitizing our facility. Pet parents can also stay connected with their dog by viewing our live webcams during business hours. For even more peace of mind, you can opt in for text updates, which include photos and details about how your dog is enjoying their holiday stay. This way, you can focus on your guests, knowing your dog is well taken care of.

4. ADHERING TO THEIR DIET

With guests sneaking table scraps and the potential for toxic foods at holiday dinners, it can be challenging to manage your dog’s diet while hosting. Boarding your dog with us ensures their diet will be adhered to, and you won’t have to worry about them getting into anything they shouldn’t.

5. FOCUS ON YOUR GUESTS WITHOUT WORRY

Between hosting duties, preparing meals, and entertaining guests, it’s hard to give your dog the attention they need. Boarding them at Canine To Five allows you to focus on your holiday plans without the stress of managing your dog’s needs. If your dog is the type that tries to dart out the front door anytime someone arrives but barks non-stop when crated, boarding can be a lifesaver. At Canine To Five, your dog will be safely engaged and cared for, giving you peace of mind and allowing you to focus on your guests.

6. TREAT THEM TO OUR HOLIDAY FEAST

For an extra-special treat, we’re offering a Holiday Feast on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. For just $20, your dog will enjoy a delicious meal of chicken, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin, some one-on-one time with our staff, and we’ll even text you a photo and update so you can see them celebrating while you handle the festivities at home!
