Our recent referral contest winner, Lauren Uchalik, is also president of the Motor City Comedy Festival! This #bosslady has been doing stand up comedy since 2011. Her next Festival is September 19th – 22nd starting at Sanctuary Detroit! This is Lauren’s 3rd year doing this festival, which features comedians from all over the world.
Lisa Bardy owns Bow Wow Baketique on Mack Ave in Grosse Pointe Woods. This all natural dog bakery serves up human-grade snacks without using any preservatives or additives. Made fresh daily, your dog can choose from cookies, cupcakes, brownies, cakes, and more! Lisa opened up her baketique in 2011 and, in addition to yummy dog treats, also sells all sorts of dog themed accessories. From collars and leashes to t-shirts and picture frames, Bow Wow Baketique is certainly a place for dog lovers.
Mother daughter duo, Dell and Sharon Pryor, own Tulani Rose & the Dell Pryor Gallery located right down the street from Canine to Five on Cass Avenue. Sharon is the #bosslady behind her home goods boutique where you can find anything from candles to soaps, notebooks to jewelry. Her mom, Dell, opened her art gallery 18 years ago, showcasing paintings, prints, photography and sculptures.
Hannah Robar is the photographer behind Canine to Five’s Drinking with Dogs events and, most recently, our Back to School photo shoot. This #bosslady has her own business called Robark Photography. When she isn’t behind the desk at Canine to Five, or leading our weekly Pack Walks, you can schedule sessions with her to capture your dog’s true beauty, you and your dog’s friendship, the journey of your puppy into adulthood, or anything in between! Jenn Zieger owns and operates PKSA Karate Detroit just one block away from Canine to Five Detroit. Jenn is a second degree black belt and certified karate instructor who has been training since 2011. This #bosslady is apart of the USA World Team and has been on the USA National Demonstration Team since 2013! She has been on multiple champion Forms Teams, is a National Champion, and has been competing since she was a red belt. PKSA Detroit has classes available for all ages and fitness levels.
